Irish Whitework Embroidery

Two sets of original designs using authentic traditional motifs for the
indigenous Irish whitework embroidery are now available. The books offer
designs formerly available as individual pattern packs together with new
designs. The new designs maintain the integrity of
Mountmellick while taking it on its first steps into the New Millennium.

The quillow and wedding ring pillow, two very modern items, are included,
and made using touches of futuristic design and up-to-the-minute
embellishment but adhering strictly to the work being a whitework and of
Irish character.

These folios are not intended as comprehensive work manuals, therefore only
diagrams and instructions for the stitches unique to Mountmellick are
included.

Stitches common to other embroidery styles are adequately catered for in
general stitch manuals. All directions for Mountmellick fabric
preparation, transfer of designs, stitching key and finishing instructions
are included in both folios, also sources for the materials required.
